Hojicha Roasted Japanese Green tea
£7.60
‘Hojicha’ is a roasted green tea from Japan. It is made from the later tea harvests and the roasting process has a decaffeinating effect on the leaves, making ‘Hojicha’ a tasty low-caffeine alternative for tea lovers.
Hojicha is probably the tea most often drunk tea in Japan. It is a roasted bancha green tea. Hojicha has a toasty nutty flavour with smoky mesquite notes and a delicious creamy undertone. It has an earthy & warm quality reminiscent of toasted nuts & coffee beans . It has a wonderful clean finish. We found that this tea paired very well with almost all the cheeses in our Tea and Cheese pairing event.

No surprise that this is popular in Japan, it’s a lovely tea, nice and warming, not too strong, that you can drink all day long.
