We will be holding a Comparative Matcha Tasting of
- two traditionally prepared organic matcha teas from Japan and
- a raspberry matcha latte,
each with differing characteristics of flavour led by Catherine Urquhart.
The tastings will be accompanied by traditional Japanese Momoyama cakes.
This event follows on from the popularity of our previous matcha events with Catherine. She gained her knowledge of matcha while living and working in Japan over a 30-year period.
Matcha powdered green tea, notable as a superfood, has more than 100 times more antioxidants than regular green tea, a greater nutritional value and is the only tea beverage in which all the benefits of the tea plant are ingested, not just those that are water soluble. It is bright green, sweet, smooth with high contents of caffeine and L-theanine, making for a stimulating while calming tea.
This event is a great opportunity to try matcha for the first time in a friendly environment or to build on an existing interest and learn more about this fascinating and delicious tea.
This event is fully booked.
